There are lots of language learning apps, however most take you through the beginner levels. What happens when you are now an intermediate level language learner? Stay engaged with your language learning by downloading this apps to your phone for daily intermediate practise.

Duolingo provides a fantastic course from beginner to early intermediate with taste testers of trickier and less commonly used grammar. Duolingo is a great way to learn vocabulary and practise reading a language. - Instagram
What’s that I can hear you saying? Instagram isn’t a language learning app?
Start following real-life Italian accounts to watch their Instagram stories, read their posts and begin posting your own stories to practise your target language. Some of my favourite accounts for Italian are: lucreziaoddone, tmlplanet, rinascereofficial to start you off. - WhatsApp
Find some friends through a language exchange platform, download WhatsApp and begin messaging your new friend to share photos and stories about your everyday life. - Podclub.ch
Podclub offers intermediate podcasts to German, English, French, Italian and Swiss-German learners.The text is provided to you and you can learn new vocabulary items. - Gumtree
Again, I hear you say that Gumtree (Craigslist in America) isn’t a language learning app. I know this. But you can watch the language exchange category to find a new friend in your area who can teach you the target language in return to learn your native language. This is an invaluable experience. - Conjugation Nation Italian
CN Italian is one of my favourite reference apps. Find a verb in the dictionary and watch it conjugated in every tense you need! Practise conjugating commonly used apps in whatever tense you need to practise in the quiz section.

Absolutely! Some days I feel like I’m not making the progress I want to and then I remember that I have integrated so many Italian things into my life that are going to be cemented into my brain.

As an older lady, a language teacher all my life, I am in complete awe at the resources now available on internet for language learning…
If only I had my time again I’d be Ms Polyglot, personified!
I’m envious, in a healthy way (!) of the great opportunities internet has facilitated to the coming generations of polyglots.
