Your Quick Start Guide to Language Learning in 4 Steps

So it turns out language learning is super intimidating.
Here’s your quick start guide to getting started, minus the overwhelming information.

  1. Download Duolingo or another app. I like Duolingo because it’s free, easy to use and takes you through a basic course of Italian.
  2. Find a YouTube channel in that language to start watching from day one, even if you don’t understand it.
  3. Buy a language learning book with a CD. Load the CD onto your phone so you can listen to it while you do the dishes, go for a run, sit on the bus or getting ready for bed.
  4. Follow some accounts on Instagram or Facebook in your target language.
